Date Night

Once a week the hubby and I have Date Night. Tonight we are going to see Thumbsucker. I'm pretty excited. It's playing at the Angelika. I love going to this place, for some reason it makes me feel like a grown up when we go there. The last time I was there it was to see Joe's movie. Dang, that was a long time ago. Maybe I'm lying...I think I've been there since. Oh well. I'm getting off topic. One of the reasons I am so excited about the movie is because Tim Delaughter wrote most of the music for the soundtrack. So he's going to be there and his band is going to sing a song either before or after the show. It should be fun.

Eddie Vedder, Christmas, and Sheep

I woke up this morning and told my husband "I hugged Eddie Vedder!" I had this dream last night where I ran into him and I didn't have anything for him to sign so I asked him for a hug. Hubby's response, "Why didn't you have him sign your boob?" The funny part about this is he pulled my shirt down in the front like he is demonstrating to me how this is done. Thanks hon. Now I know how to pull my shirt down in front of other men so they can sign my boobs. So, after I hug Ed, he somehow ends up at my family Christmas party opening presents with us. It's kind of weird how your dreams just change focus in the middle of them. It's completely random how Eddie even showed up in the first place. One minute I am helping my friend (Russell Crowe of all people) design a flyer for his band and then Eddie walks up to us. Of course, the friend whips out a Pearl Jam cd for him to sign, and the strange thing is Eddie says he will sign it, but he will be right back. He just takes off with the CD. But when he comes back I get my hug, so all is well in the world. Next thing I know it's Christmas and then I wake up. If your waiting for the part about the sheep, sorry, there are no sheep involved. I just thought it sounded good in the title. :)

Ahh Tuesday!

Don't you hate it when you forget what you were going to say? Oh well. I guess, it wasn't important.

You Should Learn Portuguese

Muito legal! For you, learning a language is all about the lifestyle that comes with it.
And Brazilian beaches, hotties, parties, and soccer matches are just your style.

Guess it's time for me to call V. and learn some Portuguese!
What Your Underwear Says About You

You like to think of yourself as innocent, even though you're not!

You're comfortable in your own skin - and don't care to impress anyone.
Last night Hubby and I went to the Oasis show. And even though it was extremely hot we had a great time. One of our first dates was an Oasis show at a little club in Dallas, so we like to see them whenever they are in town. This one was quite different because they were playing a much bigger venue, but like I said to the hubby when it was over "that was F-U-N!"

Tonight we are going back to Dallas to the same place to see Coldplay. The show is sold out so it's going to be packed. I'm pretty excited about it. And hopefully we won't have some jackass pull out in front us like last night. We almost got into a car accident, but thanks to hubby's excellent driving skills we didn't hit him. If I were driving, I'm sure my car would be toast right now.

Last night I was looking at all of the hotels on the way and I couldn't believe how full all of the parking lots were. There are special signs lit up on the highways with a telephone number for all of the people who are fleeing Rita to find a room. I've heard most people have to go to Oklahoma now. Texas is full! On our way home last night, all of the gas stations were busy, at midnight. It's crazy.

Then I wake up this morning and hear about the bus explosion. That was really sad. When I saw the picture my eyes just immediately flooded with tears.

Is it just me? Or does anyone else feel guilty about going out and having fun when there is so much crap going on. I know there isn't much I can do...but that's just the way I feel.

Tastes like homemade!

Today has been a great day! Busy but good. I've been thinking about going back to school for sometime to get my Master's degree. Well over the weekend, I decided that I do want to go back to school but I am going to go into a totally different field. I have decided (for the moment, anyway) that I would like to become a dietitian. So, I met with the Dept. chair today to see what I need to do. If I go full time, I can be done in two years. I still have one more school to check out then I will make my decision. So that is all my exciting news. Unless you want to hear about the super yummy meatloaf I made for dinner tonight. But somehow, I doubt it. Hubby enjoyed it. I've never made meatloaf before (mostly because I've never really liked it.) But word on the street is that my first one was pretty damn good. Yeah for me!

For some reason, ever since we returned home from vacation I've turned into Betty Crocker. I've been making dinner for hubby and having it ready when he gets home, which has been nice because we haven't had that "What do you want for dinner?" conversation that usually lasts about 45 minutes until we decide to go out. :) I've been getting up at the butt crack of dawn to have breakfast with him, which has been nice, too. It's just been good. He told me he feels spoiled and I like spoiling him. Maybe he had me programmed into a Stepford Wife while we were away. Hmmm?

Anyway, that's all my news for today. I think I'll go bake some muffins. :)

So, I'm living life in my happy little bubble. Haven't turned on the tv today or looked at the paper. I check my email and see a message that there is a comment on my blog. " sorry about the Cowboys loss last night!" Damn. So, I open up the paper to see if it's true and sure enough they lost by 1 point. Oh well. Life will go on. :) We didn't watch the game last game night because I was supposed to go hang out with some friends last night. But at the last minute decided not to go. So, hubby and I had a Prison Break marathon last night. We had all of the episodes Tivo'd so we decided to watch all 5 of them last night. It's a pretty good show and it doesn't hurt that I think Wentworth Miller is the second hottest guy on the planet.

Hmmm. Sounds like my hubby has been downloading songs onto my computer again. I'm sitting here typing this and all of the sudden Ludacris made his way into itunes. And looks like he brought his pal DMX along with him.

Anyway, life has been pretty good lately. Last Thursday, hubby and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. We had a nice weekend. Went to a party on Saturday night. And Sunday I went to see the movie Just Like Heaven with a friend. Hubby went to Six Flags with his buddy Phil and they had lots of fun. I was supposed to go...but I backed out because it was incredibly HOT! Anyway, it's good for him to go have guy time. He doesn't do that to often.

I have more to say...but it will have to wait. :)

Sunday

I couldn't have asked for a better Sunday. Everything about it was wonderful. We invited some friends over to watch the Cowboy game. The most of the game was a little boring, but it's always fun to get together with friends. But the last 2 minutes of the game. WOW! The Cowboys beat San Diego 28 to 24. WooHoo! Oh and as my husband said yesterday. "What happened to you, did you wake up and decide that you liked Football?" My answer, Yes! I don't usually watch it on TV. I'm the type of person that enjoys being at the actual event. But since we couldn't fly to San Diego, we did the next best thing. Invite friends over who are diehard football fans. It makes for an interesting party. :)

After the game, hubby and I went to see The Polyphonic Spree. They always put on a great show. And last night's show was fun as always. PilotDrift was the opening band, they were pretty cool as well.

Someone sent me an interesting article that I thought I would share. It's worth a read.

Not a good football day

Well, I just returned home from the football game. SMU beat TCU it wasn't a good day for the frogs. We also heard that Texas beat Ohio State. Two losses in one day. What's a girl to do. I guess we'll have to see what happens with my Cowboys tomorrow.

Million dollar question

Just a real quick post. I can't seem to remember what movie this term came from, "Tune in Tokyo". I'd search on google but I need to get ready to go to a football game. So, if you know the name of that movie, please let me know.

My hubby keeps on doing this to me and it bothers me that I don't remember the name of the movie.

Back to reality

Yesterday, we returned home from our Ohio vacation. I will try and post some pics from our trip tomorrow. Hubby and I had a wonderful time. It was great to spend time with my family. The whole time we were there I don't think the temperature was more than 85 degrees. After being away for a week and being spoiled, it sure does make it hard to come home. Whenever I come home from Ohio I always feel like a different person than before I left. Which is silly really, but that's the way it goes.

I woke up at 6:30 this morning and had breakfast with the hubby. I am going to try and do this everday. I enjoyed having breakfast with him in the mornings this past week. After breakfast, I went on my morning walk with "the girls" (a.k.a. my neighbors) I enjoy our morning walks. It makes exercise more fun when you have someone to talk to. Not to mention time just seems to fly by.
